How PayoutPace settings work
These are the settings in the Chrome extension. The Account page has its own saved target settings for your dashboard.
Target strategy
Largest day the rules allow
Sets the biggest day that keeps you inside the consistency rule, with room for overfills. Once the profit is there, it aims for the smallest day that still counts toward the firm's minimum days.
Example: if the largest safe day is $1,000, the default $90 overfill allowance leaves a $910 target. Once profit is covered, a $200 qualifying day becomes a $225 target with the default cushion.
Spread over a number of days
Splits remaining profit evenly over the number of days. Firm minimum days and consistency limits still apply.
Example: with $2,000 left and five days selected, the $25 cushion makes the daily target $405 before any rule cap.
Same amount every day
Uses one dollar amount each day, even if a bigger day would be safe. It still stays below the firm's consistency cap.
Example: choose $400 and the target stays $400 while more profit is needed, unless a rule requires a smaller amount.
Payout goal
For an Apex 4.0 Intraday 50K PA, our rules library lists a $52,100 buffer, a $500 minimum payout and a $52,600 minimum request balance. The first payout balance target is $53,600. Later payouts have different caps. Consistency and qualifying days must also be met.
Largest payout
Waits until the account can take the firm's biggest payout for the current cycle.
Example: on the first Apex payout, a $53,600 balance leaves $1,500 above the $52,100 buffer.
Earliest payout
Aims for the minimum payout you can request.
Example: a $52,600 balance leaves the $500 minimum payout above that same Apex buffer.
Custom amount
Aims for the payout size you choose, kept between the firm's minimum and cap. If the required rule data is missing, PayoutPace uses the largest payout goal and shows a warning.
Example: choose $1,000 on that Apex account and the balance goal is $53,100. Choose $200 and it uses the $500 minimum. Choose $2,000 for the first payout and it uses the $1,500 cap.
Payout size for uncapped accounts
For firms with no payout cap, such as Lucid Daily, MFF Rapid and Take Profit Trader PRO, this sets how big each payout should be. Custom amount takes priority when both are set.
Example: choose $2,000 and the goal is the program's required buffer plus $2,000, never below its minimum request balance.
Keep targets below the live level
Some firms move you to a live account after one big day. This keeps targets below that daily level. It cannot prevent a fill from running past the target.
Example: MFF Rapid's $10,000 daily live level leaves a $9,810 target cap with the default $90 overfill allowance and an extra $100 margin.
Daily loss limit
Leave it as it is
Does not replace the loss limit already set in Tradovate.
Example: if your account already has a $500 loss limit, this option leaves it unchanged.
Same dollar amount
Uses the same loss limit on every account, capped by a known firm maximum.
Example: enter 500 to set a $500 daily loss limit.
A multiple of the day's target
Multiplies the daily target by your chosen number, capped by a known firm maximum.
Example: 1.5 with a $400 target sets a $600 loss limit.
Stop before liquidation
Sets the loss limit so a bad day stops that many dollars above the liquidation level, when that level is known.
Example: enter 100 with $1,000 of room above liquidation and the loss limit is $900, before any firm maximum. Closing fills can still go past it.
Fill cushions
Cushion above minimums
Defaults to $25. It is added to firm minimums, such as qualifying days or the remaining evaluation profit goal, so a fill a few dollars short still counts.
Example: a $200 qualifying day becomes a $225 target.
Allowance for overfills
Defaults to $90. It is taken off the largest safe target because closing fills can run past it and affect consistency.
Example: a $1,000 safe day becomes a $910 target.
Privacy mode
Hides account numbers in the panel.
Example: turn it on before sharing your screen so the full account numbers are not visible.
Same for all checked
In the panel, fills one target and/or loss limit into every checked account. Nothing changes in Tradovate until you select Apply. It warns when your amount is above PayoutPace's suggestion.
Example: check three accounts and enter a $400 target. All three checked rows show $400 for review before Apply.
Firm and program per account
PayoutPace picks the firm and program from the account name when it recognizes it. Otherwise, pick once and it is remembered. Accounts with the same starting letters fill in too.
Example: PAAPEX is recognized as an Apex PA account. For an unrecognized name, pick its firm and program once.
